Guide Training

Disabled Wintersport Australia is the training provider for Adaptive Snowsports. DWA provides training clinics and certification to volunteers, adaptive snowsport guides, and adaptive instructors.

Clinics are usually one or two day courses aimed at specific skill sets, such as bi-skiing, tethering, adaptive snowboarding, guiding vision impaired skiers, and many more.

As an adaptive snowsport guide you will do your induction training (weekend clinic, and one evening clinic) and can then go on to choose any clinics you like. You may like to try adaptive snowsport trainer clinics and assessments (tests) that can lead to becoming a certified adaptive snowsport trainer, with internationally recognised qualifications.

Advanced Guide Training:

Advanced guide training is available to all guides, whether you ski or board, if you are one year in, or a seasoned veteran. These skill improvement clinics will enhance your guiding experience and broaden your horizons. Trainer Training:

Anyone interested in becoming a DWA certified trainer will enjoy these challenging clinics. Deepen your skills and knowledge and take on this exciting role. We are currently seeking trainers for our operations at Thredbo and Perisher, so if you have been thinking about it, please jump in - now is the time!
