Our Values

All DWA staff and volunteers agree to conduct themselves in accordance with the following shared values.

These values have been co-designed by DWA’s staff. We believe they underpin a positive and healthy work environment for all - enabling each person, staff member or volunteer, to contribute to the work culture of DWA in a positive way.

Integrity

We choose to do what is right, not what is easy, upholding our values even when it is challenging.

Respect

In every interaction we choose to act impartially, treating all people with dignity and respect.

Collaboration

We choose to collaborate to harness perspectives, skill and knowledge to achieve excellence for our members.

Care/Compassion

We put people at the centre of what we do and act in ways that are encouraging and kind.

Fairness/Equity

We act with impartiality, fostering equality of access, inclusion and acceptance, whomever we are dealing with.

Understanding

We will approach all interactions with open minds and curiosity, fostering an environment of freedom for people to be themselves, to be accepted and valued.

Responsibility

We take responsibility for our own actions, and do not make excuses or blame others when we get it wrong.
