Volunteers Portal

DWA greatly values the contribution of our associate members and extends a heartfelt thanks to you and the rest of our dedicated volunteers for contributing to the enjoyment of our members with disability and helping them find their freedom on snow.

In this section of our website you will find information about our Supported Volunteer Program, DWA Insurance, Incident Forms and benefits of being an Associate member.

However, if all you want to do is log in to your member profile, click here.

Benefits of being an Associate member

DWA is continuously rolling out our volunteer recognition and engagement program, so you will see an increasing range of benefits on offer over time.

Training – Associate members are eligible to attend DWA training programs, and for those who plan to use these skills to volunteer with DWA, these training programs are fully subsidised!

Membership fee reduction - If you guide or volunteer for just five days or more in one membership year, we will waive your associate membership fee for the following year!

Member Offers

In addition to the benefits above, there are many DWA supporters, both on and off mountain, that provide discounts to our members. For more details, head to our Member Offers page.

Uniforms – When you volunteer with DWA on snow, DWA provides a high-quality branded DWA ski jacket to wear for the day.

Lift tickets – when you volunteer with DWA on snow, you will receive a lift ticket day pass for the relevant resort.

National Park or Resort Entry – if required DWA can either arrange or reimburse national parks resort entry for the days you are volunteering with us.

Discounted Accommodation – We know that accommodation in the alpine resorts is expensive and difficult to obtain at times. To help offset the costs for our volunteers, DWA provides heavily subsidised accommodation in Jindabyne, New South Wales and has secured discounted accommodation for all DWA members and their families at YMCA Howman’s Gap – just outside Falls Creek, Victoria. You can find out more, including how to book here.

Supported Guide Program

As part of the development pathway for our volunteer guides, DWA now offers a program for our experienced volunteers who do fifteen days or more of on snow volunteering. Details of this program can be found here.

Volunteer Incident Report

If you are involved in an incident on the slopes, it is essential that you complete an incident report. Once the form has been submitted, it will be sent automatically (via the submit button at the bottom of the form) to DWA’s CEO and Head of Workforce.
